Join us in plugging into Solar Energy at Bar Harbor's Community Solar Farm at
50 Public Works Way, Hulls Cove (off the Crooked Rd across from Birch Bay)
The Ireland-Ehrlich family will symbolically unplug an extension cord from dirty fossil fuels and plug it into the sun this Friday at the energization celebration of Eastern Maine's first Community Solar Farm (CSF). An MDI High School jazz ensemble will play while food from Peekytoe Provisions is served and a drone records the event from above!
Speakers include Council Chair, Paul Paradis, ReVison Energy Founder, Bill Behrens, officials from Emera Maine, and CSF members. The event will highlight A Climate to Thrive's Solarize MDI initiative to double the Island's photovoltaic capacity. The event starts at 3PM this Friday atBar Harbor Public Works in Hulls Cove.
