Communicating about climate solutions with different audiences

In working on community-driven climate solutions, effective communication always plays a central role. When you are working with collaborators with whom you are very familiar and with whom you are starting from a common ideological standpoint, it is still important to be deliberate with communication that motivates and empowers everyone. And there will be many times that it is important to collaborate with people for whom talking about climate change will form ideological barriers for cooperation.

The slides included below were initially created for A Climate to Thrive’s Climate Ambassadors Program and are offered here as a potential resource to fuel intentional communication strategy. Slides 1 - 15 focus on general communication strategy and slides 16 - 23 focus on forming collaborations across ideological differences.
