After an extraordinarily wet summer here in Maine, we move into the winter season which invites us to get cozy and warm indoors, and curl up with a good book. What if that book could serve as a source of insight, hope and thought-provoking discussion with friends, neighbors and community members?

This January, we will begin our climate book club at the Jesup Library! The first book we will gather around is Not Too Late: Changing the Climate Story from Despair to Possibility, edited by Rebecca Solnit and Thelma Young Lutunatabua, a collection of essays by writers from frontline communities, Indigenous leaders, climate scientists, longtime organizers and poets.

This is a relaxed, low-key opportunity to gather with neighbors and learn together about inspiring, hopeful climate action.

Books and hot chocolate will be provided. Ten spaces are available. Sign up now! Email tanvi@aclimatetothrive.org to enroll.
